Our Guests’ Comments for Saint Germain Chic Studio

The PVA Team was terrific. Very flexible in accommodating an earlier arrival time than had previously been anticipated. Fanny rearranged her schedule to meet us at the apartment when we arrived and to orient us, furnishing helpful information about the studio apartment, neighborhood and Paris, that enhanced our visit.  Fanny also assisted us in arranging a taxi to the airport later in the week.  Loved the charming studio apartment with its large windows looking out into the pretty courtyard.  Also loved the neighborhood, with its Cafe Madame and patisserie on the corner at the end of the block and wonderful restaurant (La Maison Du Jardin) just around the corner, and the proximity (about 1-1/2 blocks) to Luxembourg Gardens. We bought two 10-packs of Metro tickets, but found we were able to walk so many places from our centrally located, comfortable studio apartment ( L’Orangerie, D’Orsay, the Marais neighborhood, and so much more) that we had Metro tickets left unused at the end of the week.  We would definitely stay in the studio apartment again on a future visit to Paris.

What a perfect little studio for our week in Paris! The bed was amazing and the unit was in a nice, quiet & secure building. The location was both fabulous and affordable. The little (very little) elevator was appreciated especially on the days we came back from hiking up the stairs at Eiffle Tower or some of the other great sights in Paris. The unit is in a quiet building and it was no problem to leave our windows open during the night to keep things cooler during the unusual heat wave we had. A Monoprix and Carrefour store are around the corner for any groceries needed. There are several bakeries within a block or two. The nearby Luxembourg Garden is a lovely green space to relax in or enjoy a sandwich lunch - it was one of the nicer green spaces we saw in Paris. Access to the metro/RER/buses & bike rentals are all within a couple of blocks. If you are looking for a classic Paris studio and don¹t have any issues with mobility, this is a great choice from which to explore all that Paris has to offer. We loved our stay in this quaint studio! Fanny was very warm and welcoming and we would highly recommend PVA based on our experience.

Dates: September 2015. This was our second experience using PVA, having stayed at the il St. Louis two bedroom the year before with another couple, so I knew to expect another great experience and I was not disappointed. The communication from the very first email, through the payment and contracting process, the days leading up to our arrival, the seamless introduction to the apartment, and the checking out process was perfect.  The staff does their utmost to respond to whatever needs you may have before and during your stay.  No request seems too small! The studio itself is on the small side, but suited our needs for our week in Paris on our own.  It is in a totally safe area, easy to reach, quiet and attractive.  There is a tiny kitchen that has everything you need to eat food you bring in from outside, including a microwave, and a two-burner stove.  The popular and delicious Bread & Roses is so close, we went everyday to bring home quiches and breads and pastries to eat in our little studio. The washer/dryer is convenient, the bathroom is updated, roomy and clean.  There are guide books you can borrow, a small TV and a phone.  The windows open to a beautiful peaceful courtyard full of trees and birds, and there is another window in the little kitchen that you can leave open at night if you wish, without sacrificing darkness or privacy.  There are tons of towels, bathrobes, extra pillows and blankets if you need them. The location is fantastic, although I imagine it's hard to find a bad location through PVA, and Paris has so much to offer, no matter where you stay.  The neighborhood is full of places on so many of Paris' top lists for shopping, food, culture and greenery.  There are two Metro lines in easy walking distance.  If it all sounds good, rest assured it is.  I will stay at a PVA apartment whenever I am in Paris, if I can.

Dates: September 2015.Impeccable service provided by PVA.  Fresh flowers, red wine, and croissants on arrival - charming!  Checked in by Fanny, who provided us with lots of local info, and arranged our departure transport to the airport. This studio apartment is compact (about the size of a deluxe hotel room).  The small kitchen was adequate for breakfasts & snacks (who wants to cook when in Paris anyway?).  The washer/dryer in the bathroom was a bonus, but a clothes airing rack as well would have been convenient.  Great location with nearby bakery, patisserie, and restaurants aplenty.  Walked everywhere. Our week in Paris came at the end of three months travelling in Europe, so easy internet access and free international phone calls to land lines in Australia were greatly appreciated. We will definitely rent through Paris Vacation Apartments again - perhaps a one bedroom for a little more space next time.

Dates : June 06-13, 2012. We loved the apartment - it is very small and some of the ways they save space are a little funky, but the apartment is very well-equipped - very high quality appliances and utensils. Terrific "rainfall" shower - probably the best I've had in Europe. Nice, quiet location. I found the French keyboard on the apartment's Windows laptop practically impossible to use and was glad we had brought our own Netbook for uploading pictures to Facebook, and somehow we lost a lot of cable channels on the TV (but these are obviously extremely minor complaints!). Excellent, firm mattress. Really liked both of the agency representatives (on arrival and departure) and would definitely rent either this or another apartment from them.

Dates : Kathleen & I rented the studio apartment on rue Madame at the end of our trip to Belgium, Netherlands and Paris. We spent a wonderful week (5 May - 11 May 2012) in Paris (our favorite destination when traveling) which was tremendously enhanced by our lodging. This was the first time that we have rented an apartment, always staying at small hotels in our 20 years of visiting Paris. It was a terrific choice. The apartment is located in our favorite area, near Luxembourg, convenient to everything in which we were interested. It is in a very quiet location, about a five-to-ten-minute walk to the nearest metro. There are several excellent (and reasonably priced) restaurants close-by. Half a block away are two boulangeries, a wine and cheese shop, a tea room and a coffee bar. Just a block more is a well-stocked grocery store and one more block is a wonderful florist. The apartment itself is quite secure, entrance by code from the street and then locks on the door, along with a very efficient concierge (great cat). Facilities are superb - a spacious bathroom with a good shower, a well-equipped, easy to use kitchen area and a very comfortable bed. There is also a table and chairs for breakfast and wine and cheese time. The windows look out onto a courtyard. The apartment is on the fourth (or third depending on how one counts) and is extremely quiet. We heard almost no noise from the other residents of the building all the time of our stay. There is a lift that has been recently renovated. There are a television and a computer that we did not use but were available. Also a telephone. Arrangements to rent the apartment and service could not have been better. Everyone with whom we worked was polite, responsive and knowledgeable. We were met at the apartment upon our arrival, transportation was arranged for us whenever we needed it. The arrival champagne was a real treat. And we loved the flowers. We have stayed at the three-star hotel across the street for the same price and our apartment was very much a better experience (and the hotel is a good one).

The flowers on the table were a lovely touch and it was great to be met on arrival and have the apartment and local area explained. Terrific when arriving in a new country with minimal local knowledge and language . The small glitches we had such as flooding in shower and working the tv were dealt with very promptly.

At the time of our arrival Fred was already waiting for us by the building and walked us through every detail of the apartment, as well as giving a lot of great advice on the surrounding area. When we had an issue with the phone, I contacted Fred and he replied 5 minutes later that he would look into it, by the time we got back to the apartment everything was working great. All in all some of the best service I've encountered as well as unbeatale locations and deals. Would highly recommend to anyone !

Dates: June 6-13. 2011. Everything about my experience with this apartment was perfect and could not have been better. I booked this apartment almost a year in advance, and from the very beginning, PVA was always there and helpful with all my questions. Upon arrival in Paris, they arranged for car service to bring me from the train station to the apartment (for a separate fee) and Emily was at the apartment waiting for me, with croissants, wine, and fresh flowers. She guided me through everything from how to use the washing machine, to questions I had about the neighborhood, and she was available to me via cellphone throughout the week if I had any more questions. PVA leaves a very detailed binder of information in the apartment, with answers to just about any question you have, as well as restaurant recommendations, what to do in certain situations, etc. There are also guide books and walking tour maps available. I could not have felt more taken care of. The apartment itself was very clean and well taken care of. It was great to open the windows every day and get fresh air. The building is on a very quiet street in what has become my favorite neighborhood in Paris. It is close to three different metro stations, although you can walk just about anywhere. It is also one block away from Jardin du Luxembourg, which was my favorite spot in Paris to just sit and read and have a picnic. The ONLY thing I would change is that the staircase in the building is not lit at night, so it was a little difficult navigating up the stairs when returning home at night. But maybe that was just a temporary thing, and again, very minor. Fred from PVA came by the apartment the morning of my departure to check me out and see how everything was, and then a taxi arrived to take me to the train station (arranged by PVA). I do not have enough good things to say about PVA, they are incredible at what they do, and if you want a perfect, hassle-free, worry-free stay in an authentic, clean, and beautiful Paris apartment, look no further.

Dates: May 29-June 06, 2011. Our stay in this sweet studio apartment was wonderful!  It suited my husband and I perfectly.  Small but so functional.    Plenty of storage space for clothes, nice to be able to do laundry, and the kitchen worked perfectly for us.  The bed was comfy,  the apartment spotlessly clean, and  floor to ceiling  french door/windows allowed us to catch the evening breeze.  The building itself was quiet with the #12 metro stop  only  blocks away...quickly becoming our stop of choice.   Neighborhood had cafes, shops, bakeries, grocery stores within easy walking distance and we put them all to good use.  The recently updated phone system in the apartment allowed us to call the States at no charge...a welcome amenity. Our PVA contact was Emily and she was great.  We were given her cell phone number and encouraged to call with any problems or concerns.  She met us at the apartment on the morning of our arrival and familiarized us with the apartment itself and the reference material provided regarding the neighborhood...we will definitely use PVA accomodations on our next trip to Paris!

Dates: February 14-23, 2011. Emily was extremely accommodating and welcoming upon my arrival.  Everything was explained beautifully and I felt that there was no hurry on her part, which was much appreciated.  When you arrive a little bleary-eyed from an overnight flight, it is very helpful to have a warm welcome and easy and thorough explanations.  She provided all of the above, in addition to beautiful anemones and an excellent restaurant recommendation. The apartment itself was just right:  chic with plenty of windows for lovely light.  I love the location and the higher floor with easy access via the stairs. The decor was simple and pretty; the pebble floor in the bathroom was a nice touch along with the "stand alone" sink with revolving mirror for storage--clever.  The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, plates, cutting board, coffee and tea and oil and vinegar and salt and pepper and spices.  The bathroom had plenty of clean white towels and the sheets on the bed were crisp and white.  Everything was clean and tidy.  The washer/dryer worked well.  The thick bathrobes were a welcome touch as well as the Haut Rian bordeaux and a bottle of Evian to begin.  These details all make such a difference.  The information book in the apartment is quite complete as well.  I appreciated the ability to call the USA cell phones and landlines without charge, too.  The TV channels were ample, with both English and French (good for practicing the language).  I always take my computer with me and even though we had a little difficulty setting it up at first, Chris (I believe) came by when I was out and got it set up well for me. All in all, I had a wonderful time and was very happy with the apartment and your company's excellent service.  The price was very good, and I hope to return again and again!

Dates: May 15-29, 2010. We searched extensively on the internet for the perfect Parisian apartment for our two week stay in Paris.  We wanted to live like a Parisian, not like a tourist. The Saint Germain studio met all our requirements and we loved it.  Our requirements were: elevator, bathroom with American-style shower and ample space for our "bathroom stuff", WiFi, walking distance to Le Louvre.  The staff could not have been nicer or more accomodating.  There were music lessons given in the building next door and we loved hearing these "live concerts".  The apartment is bright and airy, with two double windows in the main room, windows in the kitchen, and window in the bathroom.  Very nice having washer/dryer in the bathroom complete with detergent and softner.  Clara placed beautiful red and purple tulips on the dining table and they lasted almost two weeks.  We were thrilled with our studio decision and the advice, service, and interaction from Alex, Karina, and Clara.  Loved it!

Dates: March 27-April 03, 2010. My fiancee and I had a lovely week in Paris in late March - early April 2010, staying at the St. Germain Chic Studio apartment on Rue Madame.  The location couldn't be beat - centrally located to everything St. Germain has to offer, a wonderful home base for exploring the entire city and a great place to comeback to after a long day of sightseeing.  The apartment was clean and looked just as it was represented on the website. The staff at Paris Vacation Apartments was professional and eager to assist in any way to make sure our vacation was memorable. Prior to arriving, the team provided print materials that gave us an excellent overview of the neighborhood and instructions on how best to get to the apartment from the airport.  Upon arrival to the apartment, Fred greeted us in front of the apartment to welcome us and help us with our luggage.  He showed us how all the apartment amenities worked (i.e., shower, washing machine, windows, door lock, etc.), answered all of our questions about the neighborhood, and even offered his recommendations on restaurants, cafes, etc..  Upon our departure, the staff arranged for a taxi pick up to the airport.  All-in-all, a wonderful experience.  We couldn't imagine staying any place other than a Paris Vacation Apartment when visiting the city in the future.

Dates: 1-12 December 2009.  The apartment was exactly as it looked in the pictures.  It was lovely and perfectly - and I mean perfectly- clean and pristeen.  You have to remember that this is Europe so the building was old and a bit difficult to enter.  That is why it was wonderful that Alex has a wonderful English speaking woman (cannot remember he name at this writing) waiting in the apartment to help me into the building.  The courtyard of this building is not necessarily "lovely" as I had pictured it.  It had the garbage cans and some bicycles.  However, I was there in the dead of winter so perhaps it is more lovely in spring.  The apartment itself was everything I had hoped for and more.  Very small but perfectly efficient.  The bathroom was beautiful (again think European so very small) with a wonderful full water pressure overhead shower.  There was also a great washer dryer unit which was great so I could wash clothes which is necessary for a long stay.  They had umbrellas in the closet and just about everything I could think of was there - travel books, maps of the area, restaraunt recommendations, everything.  I would totally recommend this company and this apartment.  The other thing I would say is that there were no additional charges or unexpected fees added on.  To me the best service is one where expectations are clear up front and I would say this company was great at setting and meeting and exceeding expectations.

Dates: September 3-9, 2009 We loved this apartment. Its location is wonderful and it has a very neighborhood feel. The proximity to the Luxembourg Gardens was just great, and the corner bakery, just steps from our apartment entrance, offered really excellent pastries and breads. The Monop food store, in addition to offering regular groceries and wines, sells a wide array of prepared salads and entrees, including foods from many cultures. The Metro and the RER are both close by, giving easy access to all areas of the city and its outskirts. The apartment is quite small but extremely well outfitted and organized, with a lovely bathroom, a large bed, and a very comfortable mattress. It took no more than a day to feel comfortable using the kitchen and the appliances--we ate every breakfast and half our dinners in the apartment. The apartment gets plenty of light through two large French doors and there is a nice view of the interior courtyard. Taken together, this creates a very pleasant atmosphere. Since the apartment is on the inside of the building, there is very little street noise. We have been to Paris a number of times but had never spent much time in this part of the city. It was a great treat to get a feel of the area around the Luxembourg Gardens and we were most impressed with its beauty. Since we had stayed with PVA last year in one of their apartments in the Palais Royal, we knew that their service was outstanding and that proved true again this year. Marie-Laure took excellent care of us on arrival, came back during the week to reset the TV (I had pushed a wrong button), and was there promptly the morning we departed. She was very knowledgeable, welcoming, and gracious. It's almost certain that the next time we're in Paris we'll again stay in a PVA apartment. We have given all our friends the PVA web site, and have told them they can be assured that the apartments are as good as they look. In addition, we have stressed that the outstanding personal service the PVA organization provides makes the stay easy, comfortable, and extra enjoyable. It's a wonderful touch. I will be happy to answer any email inquiries about our experience in this apartment, or in the one in the Palais Royal that we rented last year.

The neighborhood has all the shops, cafes, restaurants, Metro stops, and parks you need. The apartment itself is quite comfortable for a couple, very modern, and clean. The windows to the courtyard are wonderful. It was great to be in the nieghborhood and experience people going to work, practicing piano, shopping, taking kids to school, walking and sailing toy boats in the park. Be sure to visit the Bread and Roses bakery/cafe, just down on the corner. Everyone with Paris Vacation Apartments was professional, friendly, and very helpful. Everything was as they said it would be as far as the apartment, the contract, and checking in and checking out. Fred was great and helped us out with a few things. We went with this company because of the wealth of information they provide, their reasonable prices, and their availability if problems arise or you just need help with something. Only half a block to the Luxembourg Garden - perfect for jogging, people watching and picnicking. The staff took care of every detail they could think of from reserving our cab to the airport to making dinner and evening spectacle reservations. We will definitely stay with this company on our next visit to Paris.

Dates: 15 - 22 May 2009 We wanted to live like Parisians and this was certainly the place to do this! From the moment we arrived, Fred was most helpful in pointing out the many amenities in the apartment. It was small but cosy and comfortable and within walking distance of markets, shops and the metro, not forgetting the marvellous Jardin du Luxembourg a short stroll away. We live in hope we can repeat the experience and PVA will certainly be our first contact!

Dates: March 23-April 24, 2009 I am a writer and wanted to set my next novel in Paris, which for research would require a lengthy stay. So rather than spend a month in a hotel I decided to rent an apartment. I did an internet search on Google and came across Paris Vacation Apartments at random. I knew nothing about them and had no clue whether or not they were good or bad or even honest. I'd never stayed on the Left Bank and I had no idea where St. Germain was, but I took a leap of faith and booked a one month stay with PVA. Until I arrived at the Rue Madame Studio I wasn't sure what I had gotten myself into. Then PVA greeted me and opened the door to the apartment...VOILA! PARADISE A LA PARIS!!!! It was BEAUTIFUL! (PVA even had fresh flowers, red wine and pastries waiting for us on the studio's dining table along with a myriad of maps and guide books on Paris.) The studio was perfect in all ways. The perfect size for two people, the perfect little kitchen, the perfect peace and quiet, a perfect view into a courtyard bedecked with flowers in bloom and singing birds (The birds would come sit on my window ledge every morning and sing to wake me up, they were so sweet). The perfect LUXURY bathroom with deluxe shower, sink and large soft towels, and a washer and dryer (including detergent and fabric softener). The studio was cheery and bright, SUPER clean and neat and organized. A maid came once a week, how nice! The kitchen had everything anyone would need to cook and entertain including dishes, silverware, wine glasses and every sort of pot and pan. The bed was queen-sized with fresh crisp sheets, comfortable and warm. The rooms were well-lit and cozy, and the doors were secure. I always felt safe. On cold days the heater was great! The computer was awesome, excellent internet connection with phone service. There was a flat screen TV and DVD player. Also the studio is in an IDEAL location. Very close to the St. Placide Metro, and in the neighborhood around the apartment there are tons of wonderful restaurants, shops, bakeries (be sure to eat at Bread and Roses) and supermarkets. And let's not forget the studio is just across from the magnificent Luxembourg Gardens. The local people were soooo nice to us and very friendly. The entire experience was a delight like a dream come true. I would recommend this studio and PVA without qualm to anyone. It is fabulous, the PVA staff is beyond helpful, efficent and kind and yes, VERY HONEST...you should stay here! YOU WILL LOVE IT! (I can't wait to come back!) Definitely a 5-star experience!

Dates: 06-14 December 2008 Alex & Isis never fail to surprise and delight us. This is our third time renting from Paris Vacation Apartments. Our stay in this delightful apartment was made possible because of the thoughtful touch to all the apartment's decoration, as well as the equipment (kitchen, TV, radio, even a laptop!). The location is excellent as it is only a stone's throw to the RER. Yes, we will seek out Alex & Isis for our future stay in Paris!

Dates: 16/11/08 to 30/11/08 I visit Paris fairly regularly and have stayed in several vacation apartments managed by different agencies. This is, by far, the best apartment I have stayed in. It was immaculate, beautifully decorated & equiped with everything, including a wonderful shower, a very comfortable bed, washer/dryer & perfect little kitchen. Everything was top quality. Alex, Isis & their staff thought of everything. They are most professional & cannot be more accommodating. I look forward to staying in their rue Madame apartment again.

Dates: Feb 11th - 18th 2009 My boyfriend and I stayed in the St. Germain apartment last week and thought it was wonderful! When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and the apartment was just as it was described on the website and in back and forth emails. The location is GREAT if you really want to expierence the life of the locals. I would highly reccommed this apartment to anyone looking to spend some time in a great area while in Paris!
